Double stage granulator, also known as mother and child machine, is composed of a combination of a twin-screw extruder and a single screw extruder. Suitable for granulation of various plastics or for reproduction. The plastic particles produced have a beautiful appearance, full and uniform particles, and no pores. They adopt a dual stage mother and child machine structure to achieve the purpose of double-layer filtration and can fully exhaust, making plasticization more uniform, and the particles strong, full, and glossy.

The two-stage granulator mainly consists of: conveyor belt, single screw extruder, twin-screw extruder, non-stop hydraulic screen changing device, die head, water ring granulator, vibrating screen, centrifugal dewatering machine, cyclone bin, control panel, etc.

The twin-screw extruder has the advantages of good mixing performance, flexible modular combination, good self-cleaning performance, and good plasticizing and dispersing effect.

Single screw extruders have a larger diameter and operate at low speeds. Low speed operation can avoid the phenomenon of excessive shear force. The internal cooling system of the screw can avoid overheating and powerful separation of the two functions, allowing for more flexible and predictable mixing processes and temperature control during operation.
